Filming brown trout .....
Filming insect life .....
Golden-ringed dragonfly - this was a female showing egg-laying behaviour, bobbing up beside the leat bank and then backing down to lay an egg in the surface mud/water at the base of the bank.
This was difficult to photograph but the the following images are included on this page because of their rarity.
The wing beat was far too fast for the camera to capture sharp images of the wings - plus the insect was bobbing up and down at amazingly high speed!
Graham above Burrator Reservoir, with Leather Tor just visible at top left .....
The cascade of leat water down the waterfall into the reservoir ......
This is filming from the "hard" side of the cascade where photographers generally do not venture .....
We fearlessly did not not venture!
