This walk: 2008-12-17. Walkhampton and surrounding area, church, views, panorama of far tors, finishing with the Christmas lunch in The Walkhampton Inn.

A panorama from the hill after the church, showing (from the left) Brentor (faint), Pu (or Pew) Tor, you can just see Cox Tor in the background then it's on to Staple Tor, Great Mis and Kings Tor to the right. The TV transmitter at North Hessary Tor is visible at the far right on the larger image - this is best viewed after pressing F11 and using the arrow keys to move the image - don't forget to press F11 again afterwards to return to normal view!

The roads via Yelverton and Dousland were easy main roads, with parking on the right as you enter the village from Dousland, through a gate by the Memorial Hall. The roads and lanes beyond get very narrow for driving.
